CAXTON HOUSE

My great-grandfather Gilbert Carr lived in London, and was particularly active during the 1940s and 50s. I'm not sure if he was English or not, his children were born in Boston and my grandmother lived in San Francisco most of her life, where my mother was born. Since my mother is now gone, I can't ask her about Gilbert Carr, and there are no other surviving relatives on that side of the family of whom I'm aware. I knew Gilbert Carr was involved with the Ambulance in London during WWII so I Googled Gilbert H. Carr and found that he also was part of the Caxton House in Islington during the 1950s. I downloaded their pamphlet from 1952, and interestingly this style of graphic design is popular today.
