ALMOST THERE

While apples and pears may technically be autumnal, their colors feel more like spring. I've been making apple and pear crisp on the regular these past few weeks ... there's something about it for breakfast, with a bit of yogurt on top, that is so delicious. Savoring the last days of winter, I suppose.

A SUNDAY GEM

This short film makes me very happy.

PIE PAPER

Loving this theme-based New Zealand newsprint quarterly called Pie. The above images are from their Repetition issue. Their first issue, the Circle, features lots of circles in one place. Both issues are viewable on their site, or by mail order.

DAVID CARSON

Remember him? At one time so prevalent, and now so incredibly foreign.

LATEST CRUSH: JI LEE

Born in Korea, raised in Brazil and now based in NYC, creative director Ji Lee makes work in his spare time that is fun and clever.

SARAH ILLENBERGER

Born in Munich and operating out of Berlin, mixed media 3D illustrator Sarah Illengerber makes so much great stuff it's impossible to keep track. Visit her website right now and be amazed. According to her site, she attended Central St. Martins (as well as previous post subject Nina Saunders), which makes me feel all warm, fuzzy, etc.

NINA SAUNDERS

Danish sculptor Nina Saunders, who lives and works in London, makes insane melting furniture. In the top image, she has teamed with shoemaker Tracey Neuls and textile manufacturer Sanderson in honor of Sanderson's 150th anniversary, which also happens to coincide with London fashion week. The installation, titled "Most Curious", is presented in Tracey's store TN29 at 29 Marylebone Lane, and runs through 30th June 2010. The black melting armchair is from Nina's website.

DESKS

Why are desks such beautiful places? These desks belong to fellow graphic designer Hana Tanimura, and creative director Matt Dick
I am collecting pictures of desks. Send me yours!
